The Brisbane Courier of 12th April 1920 reported “APPRECIATION OF SOLDIERS Dayboro April 10:  There was a large attendance in the Mount Pleasant School of Arts, when Mr R.J. Warren, M.L.A., unveiled an honour roll erected by the Mt. Pleasant Soldiers’ Help League, bearing the names of 26 soldiers who enlisted from Mt. Pleasant and Laceys Creek…”  Of the 26 soldiers named on the Honour Board, 9 paid the supreme sacrifice,
