Cricket is another sport where clubs have come and gone over the years.
The Brisbane Courier of Wednesday 19th March 1902 mentions cricket matches being held at Upper Pine and Cobble (Kobble) Creek on the Easter Monday holiday.
The Brisbane Courier of Wednesday 14th April 1909 records:
“…The North Pine Cricket team journeyed to Terror’s Creek on Saturday afternoon to play Terror’s Creek. The latter team won by an innings and 15 runs. Scores: North Pine, first innings, 48 (R. Hunter 12, A. Rookwood 12), second innings, 16. Terror’s Creek, first innings 79 (Mr. Hall 16, F. McLennan 25)…”
The Brisbane Courier of Wednesday 12th April 1922 records: “…The Dayboro and District Cricket Association’s premiership match was played between Oceanview and Samsonvale last Saturday. After a close game Oceanview won by 5 runs…”
