McKenzie Street, Dayboro – possibly early 1920s

This week’s photo is an unidentified photo from the Kenman family collection.  It is possible the photo was taken in the early 1920s.

It was certainly taken between 1913 (when the new Crown Hotel on the left was built) and 1923 as the timber store building which was attached to the original Crown Hotel had been removed by February 1923 and it can be seen in this photo.  There is a sign on the front of the store building stating it was a State Government Insurance Office Agency although all the other signage that appeared in the Lacey’s Store photo c.1909 (Week 23 – 6th June 2019) has been painted over.
