This photograph from 100 years ago would have been the first photograph taken at the new Dayboro State School building which was opened on 25th June 1920. We only have positive identification for one person in the photo. Ivy Weston (my mum) is the girl on the far right in the second back row.
After the new school building was opened, children from the one-teacher schools at Laceys Creek and Mt Pleasant attended Dayboro State School to complete their final year or two of schooling. Ivy was enrolled on 23rd August 1920 and left in September 1922 when she turned 14. She rode a horse to school from the Weston family farm at Laceys Creek.
Does anyone else have this photo in their family collection which would help identify others in the photograph?
