In 1933 Percy James Brown started a daily bus service (or service car) from Dayboro to Brisbane. He had a Hudson motor vehicle. Percy Brown was not a Dayboro resident. He and his wife Rose were living at Bowen Terrace, New Farm in the mid-1930s.
The Courier Mail of 23rd November 1936 reported “…Mr. P. Brown has purchased a new 15-seater motor bus for the Dayboro-Brisbane passenger service.”
The Courier Mail of 4th May 1937 reported “When formalities with the Transport Board have been finalised, Mr. H.P. Brown will inaugurate a tri-weekly car service from Mount Mee to Brisbane, via Ocean View.”
Percy Brown ran the Dayboro-Brisbane Bus Service until 1947.
