Although it has never “rained on our parade”, it came very close ten years ago in 2007. The Dayboro Day Festival Committee had to do some last minute changes to accommodate all the stallholders and entertainers as there were quite a lot of places that were too muddy to be used. Even so the festival was a huge success.
The Dayboro Lions were there in their usual spot with their Hot Dog stall. Marj Barnett can be seen behind the counter and you will find her behind the counter again at this year’s Dayboro Day Festival even though she has recently celebrated her 86th birthday.
In 1995 Marj was the first person to receive the Dayboro Resident of the Year Award.
2017 Dayboro Day Festival & Antiques & Collectables Fair is to be held on Sunday 28th May.
