1990 Anzac Day March

Like many other areas throughout Australia, the Anzac Day March in Dayboro, and the crowd attending, has grown in size over the years, especially with many of the district’s youth groups participating.
This photograph from 1990 shows the Dayboro Cubs with their leaders. They are followed by the Dayboro Brownie Guides and behind that group can be seen the blue and gold banner of the Dayboro State School.
The sign on the “corner shop” reads Geoff Hutson Saddlery. Geoff Hutson bought the premises from Ken & Irene Nutley in 1986 and sold them to Craig Doyle Livestock & Land in 1994. The building, which had been built about 1922, was demolished and the premises now occupied by Craig Doyle Real Estate were built in 2009.
